The Overview
The 2022 Accord Hybrid has a hybrid powertrain, an overall lightweight body, and excellent fuel economy like the current model. A 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque comes standard on every gas-only Accord. As a result, it is one of the segment’s most powerful base engines. It comes with a CVT (continuously variable automatic gearbox). The EPA predicts 30 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 33 mpg combined for the Sport and Touring grades. A 2.0-liter turbo inline-four provides 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque as standard on the Touring and available on the Sport. It has incredible acceleration for a family sedan, with numerous sources estimating that it will reach 60 mph in the mid-five second range. A 10-speed automatic transmission has replaced the six-speed manual transmission.
Interior and Technology
Plush leather-appointed seats with motorized movement and two driver-side memory provide an excellent first impression. The steering wheel, too, is made of high-quality leather with white contrast stitching. Shortcuts to change the head-up display and lane-keeping assistance are located on the right-hand spoke. For usability, it receives a huge thumbs up. The instrument cluster is clean and uncomplicated. The head-up display provides ample support by projecting a digital speed reading and turning directions onto the windscreen, allowing you to focus on the road longer.
An 8-inch touchscreen with excellent graphics, a logical menu layout, and real menu keys comes standard on every Accord (including volume and tuning knobs). The latter makes it far more user-friendly than the Pilot, Passport, and CR-V systems, which are otherwise comparable. We also appreciate how high it is situated on the dashboard, making it simple to read at a glance. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trim levels. Still, the EX-L and Touring (and all Hybrids except the base trim) include wireless capability and a wireless charging pad. Except for the LX and the base Hybrid, all have two USB ports on the back.
