Exterior and Performance
Every new Passport comes standard with a 3.5-liter, i-VTEC V6 engine. It’s rated to churn out a muscular 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Feeding power to the wheels is a nine-speed automatic transmission. A tested 0-60 mph time of 6.2 seconds ranks the Passport among the quickest models in the segment. While a smooth ride and balanced handling make the Passport enjoyable to drive on the street, this SUV can also venture off the beaten path. A torque-vectoring AWD system helps ensure great traction on slippery ground. Honda’s push-button Terrain Management System allows you to choose from Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand modes.
Interior and Technology
Designed to accommodate up to five people, the midsize 2021 Honda Passport provides a lot of space for your family and friends. There’s great legroom throughout the cabin. Premium amenities, like heated/ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, ensure an even more comfortable ride. You’ll also appreciate the Passport’s 41.2 cubic feet of cargo space. From hiking gear to camping essentials, a lot of extra stuff can fit inside this SUV.
A lot of technology is available for the new Passport. For 2021, Honda has updated the SUV’s list of standard equipment. A Display Audio infotainment system now comes standard throughout the lineup. It brings a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Everyone can enjoy the Passport’s available Wi-Fi hotspot. An upgraded 10-speaker premium audio system is found on the higher trim levels.
Aside from providing excellent impact protection, this vehicle offers a multitude of great safety features. When backing up in tight spots, a multi-angle backup camera helps you to spot potential hazards. All trims come standard with Honda Sensing, which combines several advanced driver-assist technologies. Highlights include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and road departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring is featured on most trims.
