Interior and Technology
The cabin of the 2021 Honda CR-V is thoughtfully planned to hold people and all their belongings. There is quite a bit of legroom and headroom for occupants in the 2021 CR-V with spacious seats in the front and back rows. The Honda has just over 39 cubic feet of storage behind the back row seats, and there’s about 76 cubic feet of storage capacity with the seats folded flat. Large and small items are equally accommodated with the Honda’s innovative cargo area that also has storage space for smaller personal belongings. The center console in the front row also has multiple storage options.
Features for the Honda vary based on trim level. The LX, which is the entry-level CR-V trim in 2021, gets dual zone climate control to begin. Its seats are manually adjustable in the front, and it has a four speaker audio system. Even more amenities are added on the second trim. Upgrading to the EX brings tinted windows for a distinctive look and privacy. You’ll also get some helpful features for starting and entering the car, including a push-button start and keyless entry. The EX has a seven-inch touchscreen display with standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are a few more USB ports with this trim level. The EX-L, which is the next trim in the lineup, has a power liftgate and a premium sound system with eight speakers. The front passenger’s seat is power-adjustable beginning with this trim level. You will get leather seats for your CR-V from the EX-L trim and up. The top trim, called the Touring, adds wireless phone charging and a sound system with nine speakers. Its infotainment system is more advanced with the inclusion of navigation. The Touring also has a distinguished exterior with roof rails and LED headlights.
A number of advanced safety aids are standard at the base CR-V level in 2021, and the higher-end trims add even more. To start with, the Honda provides a safety package with lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning. The base trim also has automatic high beams to enhance its safety and visibility on the outside. The EX adds a few more safety aids, including a rear cross-traffic alert system that warns if cars are in your Honda’s path as you’re reversing. Blind-spot monitoring is also included as part of the EX trim’s list of safety aids. An auto-dimming rearview mirror comes with the EX-L trim and the Touring trim.
