2021 Honda Civic Sedan Review
Serving Gastonia, NC, Charlotte, and Rock Hill
The Honda Civic has been a fixture on the auto scene for years, and 2021 is no exception. The Civic doesn’t get many changes in 2021 for the sedan body style, but few changes are needed. The Honda still sits at the top for sedans, and it shows that sedans can still be a popular choice even in a market saturated with SUVs and crossovers. The Honda appeal comes from its spacious interior, first-class safety technology, abundant amenities, and its attractive style. The turbo engine beneath the Civic hood also gives it impressive power and responsive acceleration. Agile handling is a fine balance between athletic maneuvering and precise control while offering the driver and occupants a smooth ride.

Exterior and Performance
There are two engines offered for the Honda Civic in 2021. The base engine, which powers the LX and EX, is a 1.5L turbo. This engine’s maximum power output reaches nearly 175 HP. Its maximum torque is a notch above 160 LB-FT. The second engine drives the two sportier trims, which are called the Sport and the Sport Touring. The Sport and Sport Touring add power with a turbo engine that produces 180 HP with the automatic or manual transmission. The engine delivers 162 LB-FT in torque with the automatic transmission and 177 LB-FT if you get the manual transmission. The six-speed manual is offered with the Sport and Sport Touring, while the others have an automatic transmission. The Civic standard drivetrain is front-wheel drive.
Interior and Technology
The Honda Civic seats five and has two rows. Seating material ranges from cloth at the base level, which is still comfortable, to leather at the top trim levels. The Honda Civic makes even your longest journeys more comfortable with its large seats and substantial passenger volume. Even tall passengers will find the Honda Civic to be spacious and easy to move around in. Outdoor visibility is a highlight of the cabin. The Civic provides you with more than 25 cubic feet in storage behind the back-row seats. If you fold the seats down, you’ll get slightly more than 46 feet.
The 2021 Honda Civic is also known for its generous list of features. It begins with a loaded cabin that includes a stereo with four speakers and an infotainment system with a five-inch display. The base trim includes automatic climate control, and it has one USB port. Alloy wheels are standard on the LX. With the Sport comes 18-inch alloy wheels and front-end fog lights. The interior has some upgrades as well, including remote start, a leather-wrapped wheel, and push button start. The Sport has an infotainment touchscreen that is two inches larger than the base trim’s. It adds four more speaker and Apple CarPlay. Android Auto is also standard. The EX trim follows with heated mirrors and automatic windshield wipers on the outside. Inside, you’ll get another USB port and satellite radio. Seating upgrades include heated seats and a power-adjustable seat for the drive. A sunroof is added on the EX as well. The Sport Touring trim, which is the top Civic trim level, has some more amenities including leather upholstery and heated seats for the back passengers. Its infotainment center gains navigation, and its sound system has 12 speakers.
The base safety package includes lane-keep control, forward collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. The EX trim and Sport Touring both get technology called Honda LaneWatch, which is a camera-based blind-spot monitoring system that activates when you use the turn signal. LED lights are included with the Sport Touring for additional visibility.
